— About Zita

Zita Domonkos,
therapeutic massage practitioner.

I studied at Semmelweis University in Hungary, the number 1 medical school in Hungary, where I earned a Master's degree in Nutrition Sciences. This scientific background influences the way I work today: with attention to the whole person, the body’s signals, daily habits and recovery needs.

Over the last ten years, I have developed a hands-on practice focused on therapeutic massage, recovery support and muscular tension relief. My work is precise, progressive and always adapted to the person in front of me.

For four of those years, I worked as a massage therapist on the WTA tour, supporting professional women’s tennis players through intense training, travel and competition periods. That experience taught me to work with precision, efficiency and respect for the body’s limits.

What happens
during a session.

i.

The intake

We discuss your symptoms, current discomfort, lifestyle, training habits, previous care and what you hope to improve. The first visit is more detailed; follow-ups are shorter and more focused.

ii.

The assessment

Observation, movement checks and palpation help identify the areas that need attention. I explain what I find and how I suggest approaching the session.

iii.

The treatment

Manual work on the targeted areas, with pressure and technique adapted throughout. Some areas may feel sensitive, but the session should remain controlled, safe and respectful of your limits.

iv.

The plan

We finish with a short debrief: what was worked on, what to expect afterwards, and any simple recommendations that may help between sessions. If follow-up is useful, we discuss it together.

— Common questions

Before your visit,
you might be wondering…

Is this a relaxation massage?+
The focus is therapeutic rather than spa-style relaxation. The session is designed to support recovery, reduce muscular tension and improve body awareness. It can include deeper work when appropriate, but the pressure is always adapted to your feedback.
How many sessions will I need?+
It depends on your situation, how long the discomfort has been present and how your body responds. Some clients come for one focused session; others benefit from several appointments. We discuss this honestly after the first assessment, with no obligation to commit to a package.
Do I need a medical referral?+
No referral is required for a therapeutic massage appointment. If you have a diagnosed medical condition, recent surgery, pregnancy, serious pain, neurological symptoms or any doubt about whether massage is appropriate, please mention it before booking. In some cases, I may recommend checking with a doctor first.
Will it be painful?+
Some areas may feel sensitive, especially when working on deep muscular tension. However, the session should never feel unsafe or uncontrolled. We stay in dialogue throughout, and pressure is adjusted whenever needed.
Are sessions covered by insurance?+
Coverage depends on your country, insurer and policy. If your insurance provider accepts therapeutic or complementary care receipts, a receipt can be provided after the session. Please check directly with your provider before booking if reimbursement is important to you.
What about pricing?+
Pricing will be confirmed before your appointment, based on the duration and format of the session. If a follow-up plan is recommended, the options will be explained clearly before you decide.
Can I cancel?+
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so as early as possible. The exact cancellation policy will be confirmed when your appointment is booked.
